It seems that a little joke he made regarding the nature of spam comments has landed him in hot water.
Please could I refer you to this post which should explain the idea behind his spamming, and please also read some of the comments of the people who were spammed and found it to be funny and took it in the way in which it was intended…in a funny like joke kinda way.

Yes, he genuinely has! It’s really kinda funny, but I think they’re threatening to take away his blog…which is not funny.

He’s back…yay…and I personally think that the whole debacle is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time; the initial idea was brilliant, the fact that he commented on was it hundreds of posts? his comment about maybe getting a creativity award from WordPress! and then his blind panic at the prospect of shutting him down…gold…comedy gold.
it’ was perfect and brilliant, controversy always creates fame, not to mention he has lots more to bitch…um ahem blog about!
It’s kind of a shame they didn’t shut him down, because there would be some brilliant stuff done in order to have him reinstated!

I posted a photo that wasn’t mine, of ladybugs, and WP sent me “The Cold Chill” bill or something like that. It was terrifying. I felt like the FBI and the CIA were all coming after me.
Then again one shouldn’t borrow what isn’t their own I suppose. 😦

I’m so sorry for not replying to this earlier…I’ve been saving the world (no excuse)…I remember you saying about ladybug-gate; people can get quite militant with regards to intellectual property, it’s an odd area.

It makes you realize just how much your own blog becomes an important part of your life, doesn’t it? It would feel like someone amputated a limb if they shut me out…
I can honestly say that I wouldn’t mind…although I don’t really post enough in order to make it a major part of my life…and I’d just start another one anyway; I have four you know!?
I had no idea. I post daily so it would be a huge deal for me.
I don’t have many followers, I’m not very good at going out and getting them; I struggle to read all the stuff I want to; for instance, I haven’t been round your gaff for ages!

I know…I actually heard the sigh of relief from the world’s collective lung, and then saw the announcement on the news.
The international jubilee has actually prevented me from sleeping.
It wouldn’t be doing its job if ’twere otherwise.
That’s certainly one way of looking at it, but due to the sleep deprivation I am starting to see things out of the corners of my eyes that aren’t actually there. I think.
That’s what they want you to think…just because you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean they’re not after you.

I don’t know that it did anything…there was a forum set up to help him – http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-can-pouringmyartoutwordpresscom-be-unblocked?replies=1 – it’s closed now obviously but it’s quite a funny read…there is a distinct lack of a sense of humour in wordpress’ admin!
I guess so. I have talked to him though. He is alive, but he spews WordPress propaganda in every sentence. They really messed him up. 🙂
I couldn’t ever see them shutting him down; I thought the whole thing was hilarious…from my bunker…he was never wordpress’ biggest fan before spamgate!
Yeah. I thought so too. I threw a few comments up like his. Then I thought about it for a sec, and realized it would be very anti productive to building the thing I am trying to build. Still funny as shit, but I am not trying to take any steps backwards if I can help it.
If you’ve got a plan and it doesn’t involve stirring shit, don’t do anything that Arthur suggests…this is a universal constant, a physical law, Einstein predicted it and Hawking proved it.
